Library Cards
Library membership is free with proof of Kitimat residency and identification or proof of a valid B.C. library card from any B.C. public library and identification. All others are charged $40 per family. Library cards are not transferable; be sure to bring your own card if you wish to borrow material.
Late Charges

Maximum charge for materials returned at the same time is $35.00 (excluding Videos/DVDs and all other material with $1.00/day fine).
After-Hours Bookdrop
If you wish to drop off Library items after-hours, the Library is pleased to provide you with an after-hours bookdrop. However, any CDs or DVDs placed in the bookdrop will be fined $1.00 per item.

Council Representative |
The Board meets every third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Meetings are open to the public. The Library Board suspends its monthly meetings in July and August. Please phone the Library to confirm. All residents holding a valid Library card are eligible to vote in the Annual General Meeting which is held on the third Wednesday of January at 7:00 pm. Anyone interested in serving as a Board member is encouraged to contact and express their interest to the Library Director, Virginia Charron.
